SHABIK UAE TERMS AND GUIDE
Legal Disclaimer
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of electric vehicle (EV) charging services provided through the Shabik platform. By using these services, you agree to comply with these Terms in full. These Terms are published in accordance with UAE regulations.
Terms and Conditions
1. Service Usage and Parking:

Charging bays are exclusively for electric vehicles (EVs) that are actively charging.

Non-EVs or idle EVs occupying the space without active charging may be subject to penalties or removal.
2. Compliance with Local Laws:

Users must follow all applicable UAE laws, Shabik policies, and technical standards.

Key obligations include: a. Vacating charging bays after a session ends; b. Avoiding slow charging in designated fast-charging areas.
3. Payment Terms:

Payment Authorization: By initiating a charging session, you authorize Shabik or its third-party payment processor to process your payment method for the full session amount.

Payment Methods: Accepted payment methods include debit/credit cards and prepaid wallet balances. Cash on delivery is not accepted.

Wallet Usage: You may opt to load a prepaid balance to use for future charging sessions.

Card Processor Terms: You authorize Shabik to create an account with its payment processor on your behalf if required, and agree to their terms and conditions.

Failure to Pay: If payment fails or is reversed, your access to charging services may be suspended until the balance is settled.
4. Tariffs and Fees:

Tariff information is displayed on the app before each session. By starting a session, you accept the applicable tariff.

Overstay or Idle Fees: Additional fees apply if your EV remains connected after charging is complete.

Minimum Session Fees may apply.

Authorization Holds: Temporary holds may be placed at session start and adjusted once the final amount is calculated.
5. Cancellation Policy:

You may end a session at any time via the mobile app. Fees will apply for the connected time.

Ending a session early does not waive payment for time already used.
6. Refund Policy:

Refund Eligibility: a. Incorrect charges, b. Overpayments, c. Failed sessions due to unresolved technical issues.

Request Process: Submit refund requests within 14 days, including session ID, amount, and evidence (if applicable).

Processing Time: Approved refunds will be credited to your wallet within 7–10 business days.

Non-Refundable Items: Authorization holds, overstay penalties, and sessions where terms were violated.

Discretion: Shabik reserves the right to approve or reject refunds based on evidence.
7. Technical Support:

Charging services are available 24/7.
-
Support is available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday.

Users must report issues via the app or customer service.
8. User Responsibility and Compatibility:

Users are responsible for ensuring their EV is compatible and safely connected.

Shabik is not liable for damage due to misuse, incompatible hardware, or third-party equipment.
9. Tampering and Abuse:

Any tampering, vandalism, or unauthorized modification of equipment is prohibited and may lead to legal action.
10. Limitation of Liability:

Shabik is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.

Shabik’s total liability in any case is limited to the total session amount paid by the user.

You agree to indemnify Shabik for any damage or claim arising from your misuse of the services.
11. Force Majeure:

Shabik is not liable for service disruption due to acts beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters, governmental action).
12. Privacy and Data:

Personal data is processed in accordance with UAE data protection laws.

Data may be shared with licensed third-party payment processors.

Session statistics are anonymized for operational purposes.
13. Termination:

Shabik may suspend or terminate services for non-payment, misuse, or breach of these Terms.
14. Amendments:

Shabik may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service confirms acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

These Terms are governed by the laws of the UAE. 15.2. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of UAE.
