SHABIK UAE TERMS AND GUIDE

This document contains the terms, conditions, and policies governing the use of SHABIK EV Charging Services. By using our services, you agree to comply with the terms outlined herein. These terms are published in compliance with UAE regulations and ensure transparency and fairness for all users.
Tariff Terms and Conditions
1. Tariff Application:

The tariffs apply to all charging sessions conducted through SHABIK EV charging stations in the UAE.

Tariff rates are subject to change, with prior notice provided as per UAE regulatory requirements.
2. Charging Fees:

AC Chargers: AED 15 per hour (including VAT).
-
DC Chargers: AED 30 per hour (including VAT).
-
Rates are calculated per hour or part thereof.
-
Hourly tariffs apply at selected locations in Abu Dhabi and other Emirates, excluding Dubai.
3. Energy-Based Fees:

AC Chargers: AED 0.74 per kWh (including VAT).
-
DC Chargers: AED 1.26 per kWh (including VAT).
4. Idle/Overstay Fees:
-
AC Chargers: AED 0.5 per minute after a 15-minute grace period.

DC Chargers (up to 30kW): AED 1 per minute after a 10-minute grace period.
-
DC Chargers (Above 30kW): AED 4 per minute after a 10-minute grace period.
5. Minimum Charge Policy:

AC Chargers: Minimum consumption of 7 kWh per session.

DC Chargers: Minimum consumption of 4 kWh per session.
6. Authorization Fees:

AED 15 is temporarily held at the start of each session to verify payment method validity.

Unused amounts are refunded within 2-3 working days upon session completion.
7. Payment Methods:

Accepted via credit/debit cards or prepaid balance.
-
Prepaid balance allows uninterrupted service without additional authorization holds.
Services Terms and Conditions
1. Service Availability:

SHABIK EV charging stations operate 24/7.
-
Customer support is available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Sunday to Thursday.
2. Usage Requirements:

Users must ensure vehicles are compatible with SHABIK chargers.
-
Proper use of charging connectors and adherence to on-screen instructions are mandatory.
3. Maintenance and Technical Support:

Users must report technical issues promptly by providing the Station ID and supporting photos/videos.

SHABIK reserves the right to schedule maintenance visits for unresolved issues.
4. Dispute Resolution:

Disputes related to fees or charges must be raised within 14 days of the session.

Users must provide complete session details for dispute review.
5. Liability:

SHABIK is not liable for damages resulting from improper use of charging equipment.

Liability for equipment failure is limited to the refund of the session fee.
6. Force Majeure:

SHABIK is not responsible for disruptions caused by unforeseen events such as natural disasters or governmental actions.
Refund Policy and Terms
1. Eligibility for Refunds:

Refunds are applicable for incorrect charges, overpayments, or unresolved technical issues that prevent the completion of a charging session.
2. Refund Request Process:

Users must submit a refund request within 14 days of the transaction.

The request must include:
-
Charger ID
-
Date and time of the session
-
Amount charged
-
Reason for the refund

3. Refund Processing Time:
-
Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days upon approval.

The refunded amount will be added to the user’s SHABIK mobile account as a prepaid balance, which can be used for future charging sessions.
4. Non-Refundable Charges:

Authorization fees held temporarily and released upon session completion are not refundable.

Idle/overstay fees incurred due to user non-compliance are non-refundable.
5. Discretionary Refunds:

SHABIK reserves the right to approve or reject refund requests based on the validity of the claim.

General Terms and Conditions
1. User Responsibilities:

Users must follow all instructions displayed at SHABIK charging stations.

Vehicles must be unplugged promptly after charging to avoid idle/overstay fees.
2. Data Privacy:

SHABIK complies with UAE data protection regulations.

Session data is collected for billing, operational, and service improvement purposes.
3. Amendments:

SHABIK reserves the right to update terms, tariffs, and policies with prior notice.
4. Termination of Service:

SHABIK may suspend or terminate access for non-compliance, misuse, or non-payment.
5. Jurisdiction:

All terms are governed by UAE laws. Disputes will be resolved under the jurisdiction of UAE courts.
